His Story
My good friend Rev. (soon to be Dr.) Richard C. Flippin reminded me that JFK was sworn in today 50 yrs ago. Then I remembered JFK was cool, but LBJ signed the Civil Rights bills. Just like Lincoln emancipated the slaves, but only to weaken the South's economy. And this the dude Obama is always bigging up. I saw a lot of photoshopped MLK/O'bama pics this week commemorating Dr. King ...but did O'Bama big up MLK after he was nominated?

Obama did give MLK "big-ups" when was nominated in Denver; he quoted him as well the day before he got "Sworn" in on KING DAY. But like any GREAT leader he is making his own mark and does not want to be in the KING SHADOW which I respect...He is marking is OWN LEGACY outside the SHADOW of KING...

ReplyDeleteBlack people always selfish and aint never secure...Obama is the president of the Free World and not just black peeople. He gave King his respect the day before, hell, he had his kids (King) give him his water after he spoke. He had to focus on being president and getting people jobs not quoting King thoughout his speeach
ReplyDeletei tooottttttalllly agree with you...that's y a quick, first and foremost," i wanna shout dr king out one more time for making this day possible...him and the whole 60's movement...moving on!" that was 3 seconds...that's all he needed to say. i see what ur saying, but what i'm saying is it's all about timing and place....if a tree falls in the forest and no1 on earth sees it, does it really fall? so if 700 million ppl are watching the "swearing in" and he didn't mention king...but he did before and no1 practically heard/saw it...did it really happen? did he in effect give him that credit/due?
